Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on funding.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be pursuing or plan to pursue any type of postsecondary education/training. Students may be of any age. Students may be enrolled in vocational/technical schools, any college or university, including community colleges, graduate programs, or other training programs beyond high school. Students may be taking one or more courses for credit or non-credit in a degree program or non-degree program.
  4. Must be a resident of Enfield, New Hampshire.

Awards are based on an evaluation of the student's motivation, merit, and financial need; preference is given to those students with the fewest financial resources.

Additional Information: Awards are based on an evaluation of the student's motivation, merit, and financial need. Preference is given to those students with the fewest financial resources. A committee typically meets in late May to make its decisions. Awards are announced at Mascoma Valley Regional High School's awards night.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually and is dependent on the recipient's need.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,106.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in January for a refreshed application deadline date. Applications are available online on the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation (NHCF) website. The student should apply for this award using the NHCF online application. The student need only submit one online application for all scholarships for which he/she is eligible. The student must upload the following supporting documents to the online application: an essay of approximately 500 words describing his/her education and career goals; an electronic copy of the confirmation page of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); the names and email addresses for two persons who can write letters of recommendation on his/her behalf; and an electronic copy of his/her most recent cumulative transcript (unofficial accepted). For this award, the student is also required to provide a copy of his/her SAR (Student Aid Report), which is provided to him/her after the FAFSA has been processed. If selected as a finalist, the student will also be asked to supply a copy of the financial aid package offered by the institution to be attended. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. ET on the deadline date.
