Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, there were six graduate scholarships and six undergraduate scholarships given.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be a current or future undergraduate or graduate student beginning or returning to an accredited two- or four-year technical or college program or graduate school in the U.S. for the 2010-2011 school year.
  3. Must be enrolled or plan to enroll full time.
  4. Must be focusing on classes in sustainable agriculture.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. and international undergraduate and graduate students who are studying sustainable agriculture. Students must attend full time. Last year, there were three $10,000 awards and three $2,500 awards given in each category (graduate and undergraduate).

Application requirements for the Annie’s Homegrown Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship are:

Additional Information: If chosen to receive an award, the student will be notified by a phone call and email by April 15. The funds will be available to his/her school on or around July 15.

Award Amount: There is a total of $150,000 available through this program. Last year, there were three $10,000 awards and three $2,500 awards given in each category (graduate and undergraduate). Awards are offered annually and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,250.

Applications are available online on the Annie's Homegrown website.In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: a two- to three-paragraph essay describing his/her academic coursework (including awards, honors, and extracurricular activities) and work experience and how it relates to his/her future goals in sustainable agriculture; an optional resume; and a two- to three-page personal statement that discusses the topics listed on the application.The application and above materials must be submitted via email to the email address provided.The student must also submit official copies of his/her transcripts and two letters of recommendation from persons who can speak to his/her commitment to sustainable agriculture. Recommenders may not be related to the applicant. The letters should be in sealed envelopes with the recommender's signature across the seal. The transcripts and letters of recommendation must be mailed to the scholarship committee at the postal address provided.
