Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  4. Must have cystic fibrosis. The student must demonstrate a clear sense of life goals and an exemplary commitment to living life to the fullest.

Additional Information: The Rosemary Quigley Memorial Scholarship honors a remarkable woman who achieved her personal, educational, and professional ambitions in spite of the constant presence of cystic fibrosis in her life. The scholarship committee will select finalists who will be interviewed on the phone. The award recipient will be chosen based on a majority vote based on all parts of the application.

Award Amount: $500 to $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.

Applications are available on the Boomer Esiason Foundation website. As part of the online application, the student must provide the following materials: an essay of no more than 300 words discussing the importance of compliance to cystic fibrosis therapies and what he/she practices daily to stay healthy; an essay of no more than 300 words discussing his/her post-graduation goals; a recent photograph; a letter from his/her doctor confirming diagnosis of cystic fibrosis; a transcript (high school, college, and/or graduate school); a letter of acceptance from his/her institution; a detailed breakdown of tuition costs from academic institution; and W2 forms for both parents (as appropriate) or a tax return if self-employed. Applications must be returned to the address provided by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date.
