Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to nine awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must attend or plan to attend the University of Arizona.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  4. Must enroll full time.
  5. Must pursue a career in the environmental arena.
  6. Must be enrolled at the University of Arizona during the upcoming academic year.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for international and U.S. undergraduate and/or graduate students who attend or plan to attend the University of Arizona. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and pursue a career in the environmental arena.

Application requirements for the SAEMS Environmental Scholarship are:

  • Essay (3)
Additional Information: These scholarships are offered to encourage students planning to work on solutions to environmental problems. Successful applicants will be invited to a SAEMS luncheon to receive the award.

Award Amount: $500 and $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,250.

Applications are available online from the Southern Arizona Environmental Management Society (SAEMS) website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit responses to the three topics listed on the application. All applications must be emailed by the deadline.
