Number of Awards & Eligibility: All eligible students will be considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must be a full-time student (12 or more hours per semester for undergraduate students and 8 or more hours per semester for graduate students).
  3. Must be a high school senior or older.
  4. Must attend St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
  5. Must have an F-1 or J-1 visa status.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to international undergraduate and graduate students who are planning to attend St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. The student must have an F-1 or J-1 visa status, maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average as an undergraduate student or a 3.0 cumulative grade point average as a graduate student, and complete two cultural sharing activities every semester.

Application requirements for the St. Cloud State University Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship are:

Additional Information: First-time students must check in with the Center for International Studies upon arrival into the United States. Failure to check in at the Center for International Studies will disqualify students from receiving the Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship. Students must complete two cultural sharing activities every semester at SCSU. Details on activities and submission can be found at the Center for International Studies and must be turned in by the semester deadline (Dec. 15 for fall semester and May 1 for spring semester). For additional information, students should contact their international student advisor in the Center for International Studies.

Award Amount: The Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship (ACSS) offers the resident tuition rate to international students who meet and maintain the requirements for eligibility.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $24,000.

Students must make application for the Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship at the time they apply for admission to St. Cloud State University (SCSU). No separate scholarship application is required. Admissions information is available online at www.stcloudstate.edu/internationaladmissions/. Eligible students must contact his/her international student advisor in the Center for International Studies for additional details. For priority consideration, students should apply for admission by July 1 for the fall semester and by November 1 for the spring semester.
