Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must attend one of the following Texas public universities: Midwestern State University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas A&M University-Galveston, and West Texas A&M University.
  3. Must be a resident of a state other than Texas.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  5. Must be a high school senior or currently enrolled college student.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: The purpose of this program is to provide a reduced tuition rate for individuals who are residents of states other than Texas who enroll in certain public universities in Texas.

Award Amount: The award is in the form of a tuition waiver that allows eligible students to pay a reduced tuition rate tuition cost. The award amount varies from institution to institution. Eligible students are allowed to pay a lowered non-resident tuition rate which must be at least $30 more per hour more than the resident rate.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,715.
