Description: This scholarship is available for graduate students who are majoring in communication sciences and communication disorders.

Additional Information: The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) invites full-time students who will be or who are currently enrolled in a graduate program in communication sciences and disorders to submit applications in competition for graduate scholarship awards. Scholarships are available to students who are undergraduate seniors or students who are currently pursuing master's or doctoral degrees. Both research and clinical doctorate candidates are eligible. Scholarship funds are available for all students, but some awards are specifically reserved for minority students, students with disabilities, and international students studying in the U.S.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications and information about this award are available online at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) using the link provided. To be considered for this award, students must first submit an online student information form. In addition to the online form, students must also compile and upload a single PDF document that includes the following information: a letter of application up to two pages in length, describing the applicant's personal and professional goals after college; a letter of acceptance, or a letter of good standing from an accredited graduate program; an official copy of transcripts; and an essay of up to five pages responding to the question listed on the provider website. Students must also arrange to have three confidential letters of recommendation submitted. The student may provide contact information, or have the recommenders directly upload their letters to the online application system. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
