Description: The Western History Association offers a $3500, one-month research fellowship at The Huntington Library to an eligible doctoral student in the dissertation stage or a PhD degree holder.

Application requirements for the WHA-Huntington Library Martin Ridge Fellowship are:

  • No application requirements for this scholarship
Additional Information: To honor Martin Ridge's long service to both the Western History Association and The Huntington Library, this $3500, one-month research fellowship at The Huntington Library was set up. Funds are allotted as follows: $500 from the WHA and $3000 from The Huntington Library. Recipients of the fellowship are expected to be in continuous residence at The Huntington Library for one month.

Award Amount: $500 from the WHA and $3000 from The Huntington Library.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.
