Additional Information: The Pennsylvania State Grant Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), provides grants to eligible Pennsylvania residents who are in need of financial aid to attend a PHEAA-approved postsecondary institution. Recipients must be undergraduate students who have not received a first bachelor’s degree and who enroll in a program of study that is at least two academic years in length. A student’s need is calculated by subtracting the Expected Family contribution (EFC) and any calculated Federal Pell Grant from the total allowable educational costs (limited to $32,000). The result is the student’s need. Students must demonstrate financial need and have an EFC of $5,081 or lower, as determined by completing the FAFSA. Applicants who are veterans of the U.S. Armed Services are automatically assigned an EFC and Federal Pell Grant amount of zero.

Award Amount: The award amount varies based on financial need and the type of school the student attends.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,482.
