Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a high school senior.
  4. Must be enrolling in a degree-seeking or certification program in the area of engineering.
  5. Must plan to enroll full time.
  6. Must plan to enroll at an accredited Idaho college, university, or vocational-technical school.

Applications are available on the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) website. Please note: The student may apply for all scholarships for which he/she is qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: five one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a statement of 250 to 350 words summarizing curricular and extra-curricular activities and accomplishments as well as qualifications, goals, and objectives for higher education; official school transcripts from the ninth grade through the most recent term completed, which include courses taken, grades received, class rank, and the signature of the principal and/or counselor; copies of ACT and/or SAT scores, along with the student assessment report, if available; three letters of recommendation describing his/her character, personality traits, and academic achievements (one or two of which must be from teachers, counselors, or administrators and one of which must be from a community leader or employer not related to the applicant who has had an opportunity to personally observe his/her character and initiative); and exhibits showing notable achievement in scholarship, leadership, athletics, dramatics, literature, and community service (optional). Please note: Additional application materials should not exceed 14 pages, one-sided. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
