Number of Awards & Eligibility: Number of awards varies each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. Must have an unweighted grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must have a combined math & verbal SAT score of at least 1200 or an ACT score of at least 26.
  5. Must demonstrate financial need. The foundation will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000, however, the majority of recipients will be eligible for the Pell Grant.

Additional Information: Applicants must have a high level of achievement as demonstrated by superior grades, academically rigorous courses, and participation in challenging extracurricular activities, especially those demonstrating leadership potential.

Award Amount: Up to $40,000 annually, renewable for the remainder of the scholar's undergraduate degree program.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $40,000.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholars are selected based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, a desire to help others, and leadership. A rigorous application review includes analysis of grades, standardized test scores, participation in available advanced courses, student essays, letters of recommendation, and family finances. All applications must be completed online no later than the listed deadline date.
