Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  2. Must reside in and attend high school in Ventura County, California.
  3. Must plan to major in business.
  4. Must enroll full time at an accredited California community college or four-year college.

Description: The Pacific Coast Business Times Scholarship Fund is available for Latina and Latino high school seniors in Ventura County, CA who are planning to major in business. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Pacific Coast Business Times Scholarship Fund is provided annually through the Venture County Community Foundation to assist with the higher education costs of local area Latina and Latino students who wish to major in business. To be considered for this award, applicants must demonstrate high levels of academic achievement as well as unmet financial need.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications for and additional information about the Pacific Coast Business Times Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for an award, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
