Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. All eligible students will be considered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an incoming first-time freshman.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
  3. Must have an SAT score (reading/math) of 1200 or higher OR an ACT score of 27 or higher.
  4. Must plan to attend Saint Mary's College of California.
  5. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  6. Must attend a college or university in California.

Additional Information: Saint Mary's College is a Catholic, liberal arts college, and is rooted in the life and work of Saint John Baptist de la Salle, founder of the Christian Brothers and the patron saint of teachers. Eligibility for the Saint Mary's College of California Freshman Honors at Entrance Scholarship is determined based on the student's academic profile at the time of admission. Qualified applicants typically have at least a 3.7 grade point average in a demanding college prep program and similarly competitive ACT or SAT scores. Rigor of college prep program and class standing may also be considered.
