Additional Information: Merit scholarships are awarded at the time of admission and are only available for incoming first-year students. They are renewable for a maximum of eight fall/spring semesters as long as students continue to meet the requirements of each program. Most funding is awarded to students who have demonstrated institutional need as determined by Bucknell’s Office of Financial Aid, but a limited amount will also be awarded to those who do not have financial need or do not apply for aid. Dean's Scholarships are automatically renewed for second, third and fourth years as long as recipients maintain satisfactory academic progress and meet requirements of the program.

Award Amount: Up to $15,000 scholarships offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $75,000.

Students applying to Bucknell University must complete a College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile at www.collegeboard.com using Bucknell's CSS code of 2050. CSS Profiles must be complete by November 15 for early decision consideration, or January 15 for regular decision. Upon application and enrollment in the university, students must complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. By May 10, students must complete and submit the following documentation: signed copy of all pages and schedules of parents' prior year federal income tax return; Copies of all parents' W-2 and 1099 forms; Signed copy of all pages and schedules of student's most recent federal income tax return; Entrance Loan Counseling for the Federal Direct Loan; and the Master Promissory Note (MPN) for the Federal Direct Loan program. Students who complete the financial aid process by the listed deadline dates will be considered for a variety of financial assistance programs and scholarships.
