Description: The Richard and Jeanne Ahlquist Community Service Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors at Grafton High School in Grafton, MA. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to community service.

Application requirements for the Richard and Jeanne Ahlquist Community Service Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
Additional Information: The Richard and Jeanne Ahlquist Community Service Scholarship is provided annually through the Greater Worcester Community Foundation (GWCF). Awards will be provided to graduating high school seniors at Grafton High School in Grafton, Massachusetts. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. The GWCF has provided opportunity and financial assistance for more than 40 years in the central Massachusetts area, and continues this mission today with a variety of programs including scholarships for local area students. All applications completed prior to the deadline date will be given full consideration based on academic history, unmet financial need, and the strength of received recommendation letters. For the Richard and Jeanne Ahlquist Community Service Scholarship, judges will also consider evidence of the student's commitment to community service and how that service has worked to improve local towns and communities.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
