Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. A high school senior must meet one of the following academic requirements: a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; OR an ACT score of 22 or higher; OR an SAT score of 1030 or higher (combined critical reading and math scores). An undergraduate student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. A graduate student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  3. Must be a high school senior or current undergraduate or graduate student.
  4. Must be a resident of Colorado.
  5. Must attend or plan to attend a college or university in Colorado.

Description: Colorado high school seniors through graduate students who attend or plan to attend a Colorado college or university are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Colorado Lamplighters / Beta Omicron Endowment Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • $5 application fee per scholarship
Additional Information: Please note: The required $5 application fee is used to cover the costs of running the scholarship program. Any fee monies remaining after costs have been covered are put back into the general scholarship fund to support future scholarship awards. Applicants are selected based on the following criteria: leadership/service; financial need; and scholastic ability. Winners will be notified by June 1.

Award Amount: $600 annually, non-renewable.The award may be applied toward tuition, registration fees, books, dormitory fees, or any other college fees or academic expenses. The award will be made payable to the college or university of the recipient's choice. If the college or university of original choice is changed, the scholarship director must be notified immediately. No special consideration will be given to previous winners.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $600.

Applications are available on the Epsilon Sigma Alpha International (ESA) website. The application must be completed online via the ESA application system.The following supporting documents must be uploaded to the online application: a signed transcript that includes current grade point average, an explanation of the school's grading system, and SAT/ACT documentation (may be included as separate document); two letters of recommendation; and a personal essay that discusses career plans, reasons for applying to the scholarship, reasons the student should be selected for the scholarship, the student's leadership and service accomplishments, and any additional information that is not included in the application. Please note: The student must select the scholarship(s) for which he/she wishes to apply and add them to his/her application "cart". The student must pay a $5 application fee for each scholarship for which he/she wishes to apply.Scholarship applications must be submitted by 11:00 p.m. MST on the deadline date.
