Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a resident of Idaho.
  4. Must be enrolled in or accepted to an eligible degree-seeking program at an accredited public or private college or university.
  5. Preference is given to full-time students, but part-time students will not be immediately disqualified.
  6. Must pursue a program related to the hospitality industry. Hospitality-related programs include (but are not limited to) hotel/lodging, food service/restaurant, entertainment/golf club, resort, and the travel/tourism industries.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to Idaho students who have been enrolled and/or accepted as a full-time or part-time student in a degree-seeking program related to the hospitality industry at an accredited public or private college or university. Preference is given to full-time students, but part-time students will not be immediately disqualified.

Additional Information: The scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of a student's sincere desire for further education or training, and individual achievement as evidenced through participation in outside interests and activities, leadership roles, and/or work experience. Grade point average or academic standing shall not be the primary determinant.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually. Awards are non-renewable; however, students may reapply.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,600.

Applications are available on the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) website. Please note: The student may apply for all scholarships for which he/she is qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following materials: five one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a copy of his/her most recent high school transcript, report card, or unofficial/uncertified college transcript; two letters of recommendation; and a one-page essay regarding his/her career goals. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
