Additional Information: The Alaska Performance Scholarship is a program of the State of Alaska. It can be awarded to any Alaska high school graduate meeting eligibility requirements, including GPA, test scores, and curriculum. The award can be used for postsecondary training at a college or approved career and technical program in Alaska. A student’s eligibility amount varies based on GPA and test scores. In addition, the amount a student can receive is limited by costs of attendance, as certified by the postsecondary institution the student attends, and other financial aid. A prorated Alaska Performance Scholarship award may be available for eligible students studying at least half-time. Qualifying applicants must have financial need of at least $500. To calculate financial need, the Expected Family Contribution from the ISIR and any available non-self help aid is subtracted from the Standard Alaska Cost of Attendance. The Standard Alaska Cost of Attendance is the average annual cost of tuition and required fees at the University of Alaska system for both full-time and half-time attendance, plus the annual average cost of living for both dependent and independent students.

Award Amount: There are three maximum award levels: $4,755 a year, $3,566 a year, and $2,378 a year. Maximum levels are established based on a combination of minimum GPA and test scores.
