Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants. All students who will graduate as the valedictorian of their class as well as all students who have been named National Merit Semifinalist will receive this scholarship.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must plan to attend Aquinas College in Michigan.
  5. Must be a National Merit Semifinalist OR the valedictorian of his/her high school class.
  6. Must attend a college or university in Michigan.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school seniors who have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists or are high school valedictorians will receive this award. Students must attend Aquinas College in Michigan.

Application requirements for the Aquinas College Valedictorian/National Merit Semifinalist Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • ACT/SAT scores
Additional Information: Each recipient must submit a letter at the end of each school year detailing service and volunteerism in his/her ncommunity, family and/or at Aquinas College.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online from the Aquinas College website. There is not a separate application for this award. Each applicant will be considered upon admission. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit official high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores.
