Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies depending on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be in the top 10% of his/her high school class.
  2. Must attend Clemson University.
  3. Must plan to attend a college or university in South Carolina.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  5. Must have a combined math and verbal SAT score of 1270 or higher, or an ACT score of 27 or higher.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  8. Must be a resident of South Carolina.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors residing in South Carolina who plan to attend Clemson University. Applicants must be in the top 10% of their high school class, and have an SAT score of 1270 or higher, or an ACT score of 27 or higher.

Application requirements for the Clemson University Trustee Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • FAFSA by 1/2/2020
Additional Information: A student may receive only one of the Trustee Scholarship, Clemson Scholars or Palmetto Pact.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

Information and applications for this award are available at the Clemson University website using the link provided. To be considered for this scholarship, students must apply for admission Clemson University. Applications must be completed online, and must be accompanied by a $70 application fee and official copies of SAT and/or ACT scores sent directly from the testing organization to Clemson. Current high school seniors applying for first-time freshman application must also submit a counselor information form to be completed by the student's high school guidance counselor. Upon admission to Clemson University, there is no additional scholarship application required to be considered for academic merit and recruiting scholarships. Eligible students will be notified upon admission. To receive maximum consideration for scholarships and financial aid, all applications for admissions and scholarships must be completed by January 2nd.
