Number of Awards & Eligibility: Please note: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any given year. Each student meeting the requirements will receive an award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. Must be an incoming college freshman or transfer student.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
  4. Must have an SAT score of 990 OR an ACT score of 19 or higher.
  5. Must plan to attend Dordt College in Iowa.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must plan to attend a college or university in Iowa.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. students who plan to enroll at Dordt College as incoming freshmen or transfers are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher and an ACT/SAT score of 19/1330 or higher.

Additional Information: A scholarship applicant transferring with less than two years of college credits may also have his/her high school cumulative grade point average considered by the scholarship committee.

Award Amount: $2,500 to $12,500 annually, renewable for three years as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $26,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the Dordt College website. There is not a separate application for this award. Each student is considered upon admission. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit official transcripts (from high school and college) and his/her ACT/SAT scores. The $25 application fee will be waived if the student applies before Dec. 31. The application for admission may be submitted electronically. All other materials may be sent to Dort College Admissions at the address provided. There is not a set deadline to apply for this award. Priority is given to applications completed by April 1, but applications are accepted throughout the year.
