Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  3. Must be majoring in a human environmental studies program.
  4. Must be attending Southeast Missouri State University.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must have completed 30 or more hours of college credit.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: International students currently attending Southeast Missouri State University who have completed 30 or more hours of college credit are eligible for this award. Students must be enrolled in a human environmental studies program and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Additional Information: The Grace V. Hoover International Student Scholarship is an endowed/sponsored scholarship. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic achievements and demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in environmental studies.

Award Amount: Approximately $500 annually, non-renewable. The amount of the award varies annually, depending on the amount of funding available. The award may be renewed until the completion of the student's degree as long as he/she maintains a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and re-applies each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications and additional information are available online from the Southeast Missouri State University website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit a personal essay, official transcripts, and proof of enrollment in a human environmental studies program. All applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the deadline date.
