Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately fifty awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be younger than 25 at the start of the term.
  4. Must not be married.
  5. Must be a dependent of a United Auto Workers (UAW) member.
  6. Must be a dependent of a Ford employee or retiree.
  7. Must be a high school senior or first time undergraduate student at the time of application.
  8. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to U.S. high school seniors and first-time undergraduate students no older than 25 who are dependents of members of United Auto Workers-Ford. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full time.

Additional Information: The UAW-Ford Rouge Powerhouse Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory and spirit of the six brave men who died on February 1, 1999 in a tragic explosion at the Rouge Powerhouse. Ford Motor Company has established this competitive scholarship program to assist UAW-Ford employees’ children who plan to continue their education at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.

Award Amount: Up to $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Students may view information about this award by going to the United Auto Workers Ford (UAW-Ford) website. In addition to a completed application form, students must submit an official and complete copy of all high school transcripts. Grade reports will not be accepted. All applications and supporting documents must be mailed to the address provided and postmarked before the deadline date.
