Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must meet admissions requirements of the University of North Florida.
  4. Must be accepted into the UNF College of Education and Human Services at the junior or senior level.
  5. Must pursue a teacher preparation track.
  6. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must enroll full time (12 or more credit hours) each semester and earn 24 credit hours by the end of each academic year.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. college juniors and seniors who have been accepted into a teacher preparation program at the University of North Florida's College of Education and Human Services. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the UNF Roy & Hazel Clarke Endowed Education Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Recipients are chosen by a selection committee. Students will be notified of their selection status in April or May. Recipients will be recognized at an awards reception in the fall. Students must attend the awards reception as a condition of receiving the scholarship or fellowship. Recipients must meet the following responsibilities: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and remain in good standing as a student.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, disbursed in equal installments in fall and spring terms. Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding, and if all scholarship requirements have been met. No student will be eligible to receive more than four semesters of scholarship support.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
