Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to transfer to the University of Arizona.
  3. Must plan to complete 30 UA credits each academic year.
  4. Must NOT be a resident of the state of Arizona.
  5. Must have completed 36 or more college credit hours upon application to the University of Arizona.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. students who are non-Arizona residents and have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for this award. Students must be planning to transfer to the University of Arizona, and preference will be given to Arizona community college students.

Additional Information: The Transfer Academic Scholarship is a highly competitive tuition scholarship offered to the very top Community College Transfer students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. Preference will be given to students transferring from Arizona Community Colleges. Offers will be based on funds available and the strength of the applicant pool. Students meeting the minimum requirements below will be considered, but the requirements do not guarantee a scholarship offer.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, renewable for two additional years (four semesters total) as long as the recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and completes 30 credits each academic year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.

Applications for admission are available on The University of Arizona (UA) website in an online or PDF format. There is not a separate application for this award. Students will be considered upon admission to the University of Arizona. In addition to the completed admissions application, each student must submit official transcripts, official SAT/ACT scores, and a $65 application fee. Students must be admitted by June 1.
