Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies annually, depending on the number of qualified applicants and available funding.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  3. Must have a combined SAT score of 1140 or higher, OR an ACT score of 25 or higher.
  4. Must plan to attend the University of Denver.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  6. Must plan to enroll full time.
  7. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  8. Must attend a college or university in Colorado.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who are planning to attend the University of Denver in Colorado. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and an SAT score of 1140 or higher OR an ACT score of 25 to be considered for this award. There is not a separate application for this award; students are considered upon admission to the university.

Additional Information: The University of Denver's commitment to students and scholastic excellence is exemplified by a number of merit-based scholarships, awarded to new first-year and transfer undergraduate students annually. The following awards are available through this program: Chancellor's Scholarship, Provost Scholarship, Dean's Scholarship, University Scholarship, Pioneer Scholarship, Crimson & Gold Scholarship, and the Centennial Scholarship. Applicants will be notified of their award status in the admission response letters.

Award Amount: Award amounts range from $12,000 to $27,000 annually and are available for up to 12 quarters (excluding summer quarters).  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $54,000.

There is not a separate application for this award. All international students are considered for this award once an application for admission to the University of Denver is submitted. Applications for admission are available online from the University of Denver website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit a non-refundable $60 U.S. application fee; official transcripts from each high school or previous college attended which should be sent directly from the schools to the university admissions office; official ACT or SAT scores submitted directly to the university; and a reccomendation/report from a high school counselor. While not required, applicants may also submit a teacher's reccomendation letter that speaks to his or her academic performance and potential. Although applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis, students are advised to apply by Feb. 1 in order to guarantee admission review for the fall quarter. Applications postmarked after this priority date will be considered on a case-by-case, space-available basis.
