Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an active-duty enlisted or junior officer (O1-O3).
  2. Must pursue a degree in a scientific field of study. These fields include, but are not limited to: engineering, computer science, information systems, chemistry, physics, and math.
  3. Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  4. This award is for U.S students.
  5. Must be a resident of Texas.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

  • Proof of enrollment
  • TA Form 1127
  • Fee receipts
Additional Information: The Alamo Chapter's Military Education Grant Program is offering grants to help offset the cost of books and fees not covered by the military tuition assistance program. Must be active-duty enlisted and junior officers (O1-O3), living in Texas and pursuing a degree in a scientific field of study. These fields include, but are not limited to: engineering, computer science, information systems, chemistry, physics, and math. Each application will be judged on its own merits. Primary consideration will be given to academic excellence. The applicant should provide as much information as possible to assist the scholarship committee in making its selections.

Award Amount: The chapter will award up to $2,500 in scholarships to qualified applicants, not to exceed $500 per applicant per academic year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
