Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a current college sophomore or junior at time of application.
  4. Must be enrolled in ROTC.
  5. Must be a full-time student attending an accredited degree-granting four-year college or university.
  6. Must be enrolled in a C4I-related major or the following fields of study: biometry/biometrics, computer engineering, computer forensics science, computer programming, computer science, computer systems, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, geospatial science, information science, information technology, information resource management, intelligence, mathematics, network engineering, network security, operations research, physics, robotics engineering, robotics technology, statistics, strategic intelligence, or telecommunications engineering.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. college sophomores or juniors enrolled in ROTC are eligible for this award. Students must major in fields that are directly related to the mission of AFCEA and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the AFCEA ROTC Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Applicants must be of good moral character, demonstrate academic excellence and potential to serve as officers in the U.S. Armed Forces, and have financial need.

Award Amount: $2,000 to $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.

Applications will be available on the AFCEA website by clicking on the "ROTC Scholarships" link under the "Scholarships & Awards" tab, then clicking on the "ROTC Scholarship" link at the bottom of the page. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit the following materials: two letters of recommendation from faculty in his/her field of study; and an official transcript including all college-level study as well as courses in progress (can be a student-issued copy from the registrar's office or certified website print-out including ROTC endorsement and signature). The candidate must be nominated by his/her ROTC Professor of Military Science, Professor of Naval Science, Professor of Aerospace Studies, or designated Commanding Officer . All materials must be received by the deadline date.
