Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards are variable.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a child of a fallen first responder or military service member, OR child of a first responder or military service member certified as unable to work and under the age of 25.
  2. Must have a High school diploma or equivalency, or in the final year of high school.
  3. Must be currently enrolled at or accepted to pursue trade, undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited trade school, college or university.
  4. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 - 4.0 (high school or undergraduate to date)

Additional Information: Who can forget the unforgettable nightmare on September 11, 2001 where innocent lives including emergency responders and military personnel were abruptly attacked and killed? While still mourning 19 years later, this trauma has now turned into triumph, by offering a scholarship to qualified children of first responders and military personnel who have been killed or injured and are unable to hold employment. Scholarship amounts will range from a minimum award of $5,000 to a max award of $15,000. Eligibility Requirements: -Children of a fallen first responder or military service member, OR children of a first responder or military service member certified as not being able to work. Children must currently be under the age of 25. -High school diploma or equivalency, or in the final year of high school. -Currently enrolled at or accepted to pursue trade, undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited trade school, college or university. -Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for applicant (high school or undergraduate to date)

Award Amount: Awards range from $5,000 to $15,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.
