Number of Awards & Eligibility: 50 awards provided annually: 25 to wounded veterans, and 25 to spouses of wounded veterans.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Colorado Technical University's online program.
  2. Must be a military veteran who was wounded during service.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. military veterans who have been injured on duty. Selected scholars will receive full tuition in the Colorado Technical University online program.

Additional Information: The CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship program began in 2008. In partnership with the Yellow Ribbon Fund Inc. and CTU, the scholarship provides an opportunity through education to a population with uncertain futures--those whose lives are forever altered by a debilitating physical injury while serving their country.

Award Amount: This award pays for full tuition, valued at approximately $15,112 per year. The award is renewable for up to three years depending on course of study. Selected scholars will also receive a laptop, physical and/or e-books for classes, and access to military education advisors & 24/7 technical support.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $45,337.

Information about this award and the degree programs available at Colorado Technical University can be found on the provider website using the link provided. To be considered for this award, students must submit a completed online application form, consisting of educational history, military history, essay questions, and short answer responses. Applicants will also be required to upload proof of high school graduation or equivalency, as well as an endorsement by a commander or first sargeant. Students may save the application form and return to complete it later, but must do so using the link generated at the time the application is saved. Applications must be completed, and all supporting documents must be uploaded no later than the deadline date. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
