Buckfire & Buckfire Medical School Diversity Scholarship

Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C., a personal-injury law firm based out of Michigan, is pleased to announce the annual Buckfire & Buckfire Medical School Diversity Scholarship. This scholarship has been funded as part of Buckfire & Buckfire’s commitment to and mission of helping to promote diversity of backgrounds and experience within the legal profession. Application is open to racial and ethnic minorities of all backgrounds who are currently enrolled in an accredited medical school within the United States. Award selection will be based on a combination of essay responses and academic achievement as demonstrated in the applicant’s transcripts. The Buckfire & Buckfire Medical School Diversity Scholarship is provided annually to medical school students who represent ethnically and racially diverse populations.

College Success Program

The TELACU Education Foundation combines important financial assistance with highly effective programs that aim to ensure students’ academic success. It was originally set up to revitalize urban, underserved areas throughout the US. The College Success Program is funded by TELACU and their partner businesses, colleges, universities, nonprofits and private donors. Historically, about 75% of TELACU Scholars earn degrees in a STEM-related or Business discipline. They have also awarded scholarships to nearly 400 first-generation Latinx college students from underserved communities in California, Illinois, Texas, and New York. Applicants entering college as first-year students are eligible to apply for an Award that can be renewed for up to four years.

NSCA Foundation Minority Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to encourage minorities, ages 17 and older, to enter into the field of strength and conditioning. A minority is defined as an “ethnic minority,” as determined by the U.S. Census Bureau. Applicants must demonstrate they have been accepted into an accredited institution working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in the strength and conditioning field. Awards in the amount of $2,000 are granted and are to be applied toward tuition charges accrued by the student.
