Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Belmont, New Hampshire.
  4. Must be entering his/her second year of college in the upcoming fall semester.
  5. Must be attending one of the seven Community College System of New Hampshire institutions.
  6. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Preference will be given to applicants who have participated in volunteer community service.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to residents of Belmont, NH, who are entering their second year of college at any of the seven Community College System of New Hampshire institutions. Students must have financial need and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; preference will be given to students who have participated in volunteer community service.

  • Cover letter (opt. but recommended)
  • Photo (opt.)
  • FAFSA
Additional Information: All applicants should have financial need, which will be determined in consultation with the financial aid office. Therefore, all applicants should have completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) website. In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following supporting documents: a 'Release Statement Form' (included with the application); college transcript(s); a one-page cover letter explaining why he/she believes he/she should be awarded the scholarship (optional but strongly recommended); and a digital photograph (optional). Applications must be mailed using the contact information provided by the deadline date.
