Number of Awards & Eligibility: Number of award varies each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Must plan to enroll in a full-time baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in the fall.
  4. Must be in sophomore standing by Dec. 31 be a recent graduate of a two-year institution. Please note: Students already registered in a bachelor degree-granting program are ineligible.

Description: This scholarship is available for international and U.S. students who are current college sophomores or recent graduates of a two-year institution. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Additional Information: If the student's school has not yet appointed a representative, he/she should contact the president's office at his/her community college to urge the president to designate a representative so that he/she may be considered. The president may call 1-800-941-3300 to appoint a representative. The student may also call 1-800-941-3300 to request assistance with the designation of a representative. The student must demonstrate unment financial need and not have been previously nominated for this scholarship.

Award Amount: Up to $40,000 annually. The award is renewable each year for the duration of the undergraduate degree program, as long as the fellow continues to meet the eligibility requirements.The scholarship awards will fund a portion of educational costs, including tuition, fees, room and board, and books for the length of the undergraduate degree program. The amount and duration of awards will vary by student, based on the cost of attendance and length of the program, as well as other scholarships or grants received.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $40,000.

To apply for this scholarship, the student must first submit an online application form. The student must attach the following documents to the online application in PDF format: his/her tax forms (two legible copies); 'Parent Financial Information Forms' (these forms are available online on the JKCF website in PDF and Word formats); an online recommendation from a professor or instructor; and his/her parents' tax forms (two legible copies). The student must submit the completed online application and all attachments by 11:59 p.m. CST on the deadline date. The student is also required to submit one original and three copies each of his/her college and high school transcripts (or GED scores or a letter from a home-school instructor); the transcripts must be mailed to the JKCF using the contact information provided.
