Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be majoring in political science, public administration, or business administration.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  5. Must be a graduate of a high school in Nassau County, Florida.
  6. Must be enrolled at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
  7. Must be enrolled full time.
  8. Must be a current undergraduate student at the time of application.

Description: This scholarship, provided in honor of James S. Page is provided annually to Nassau County high school graduates who are majoring in political science, public administration, or business administration at Florida State College of Jacksonville (FSCJ).

Additional Information: This scholarship is available for Nassau County, Florida high school graduates who are majoring in political science, public administration, or business administration at Florida State College of Jacksonville. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and must be entering his or her sophomore year of undergraduate study.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available on the Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) website at the address provided. To apply, students must complete the online scholarship application form. The form can be accessed through the student's web account by clicking on the 'Scholarships' link in the right side of his/her homepage. Students applying for the James S. Page Governmental Scholarship must also include an essay of at least one page, a short personal response to the other questions provided on the application form, and at least one letter of recommendation from a faculty member. All students seeking FSCJ financial aid must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline date. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. All applications must be completed online by the deadline date to ensure consideration for the upcoming semester.
