Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  3. Must attend an accredited vocational/technical postsecondary school to pursue a certificate or degree.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  5. Must be a high school senior who will earn a diploma or GED by the start of the upcoming school year.
  6. Must enroll full time.
  7. Must demonstrate academic achievement.

Description: This scholarship is available for Vermont high school seniors who are enrolled in a vocational/technical program. Students must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

Additional Information: The Vermont State Grange created this scholarship to assist eligible students with obtaining a vocational or technical education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, and application documents. There are approximately 170 applicants for this award each year.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications are available from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) website. Applications may be completed either online or in paper form beginning on November 1. Please note: The student is only required to submit one application for all scholarships for which he/she wishes to apply. In addition, if a particular document is required for more than one scholarship, the student need only submit one copy of that document. To apply, the student must complete and submit the VSAC Unified Scholarship Application and submit the following materials: a letter of recommendation; an essay; and official transcripts. NOTE: Required additional materials MUST conform to the detailed instructions in the VSAC Scholarships Booklet. The student is highly encouraged to review the booklet thoroughly when assembling materials. Electronic applications and any digital versions of supplemental materials must be submitted by midnight on the deadline date. Paper applications or any supplemental materials in paper form must be postmarked by the deadline date.
