Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must plan to attend Bellarmine University in Kentucky.
  4. Must enroll as an incoming college freshman.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must have an ACT score of 25 or higher OR an SAT score of 1200 or higher.
  7. Must enroll full time.
  8. Must attend a university in Kentucky.

Additional Information: Merit scholarships are awarded above and beyond other financial aid students receive. Merit awards serve to recognize individual students for their academic talent, service, or leadership achievements. Award amounts are determined on an individual basis and celebrate the strength and achievements of each admitted student.

Award Amount: $9,000 to $14,000 annually, renewable for up to three years (six semesters) as long as the recipient maintains a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and full-time enrollment status. Award amounts vary depending on the information supplied in the student's admissions application.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $14,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the Bellarmine University website. There is not a separate application for this award. Students are considered upon admission. In addition to the completed and signed admissions application, each student must submit a $25 application fee (waived if the application is completed online); official high school transcript; and ACT/SAT scores. The student's high school counselor should complete the 'High School Counselor Evaluation Form' included within the application. Applications must be submitted by the deadline.
