Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must be a full-time student.
  3. Must be attending or planning to attend Southeast Missouri State University in Missouri.
  4. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award. Graduate students will only be eligible if no qualified undergraduate students apply.

Additional Information: The Walter L. Crawford Memorial Scholarship is an endowed/sponsored scholarship. A graduating high school senior is eligible for a scholarship only if he/she has been admitted to Southeast Missouri State University by March 1. Although preference will be given to qualified undergraduate students, graduate students are eligible to apply.

Award Amount: Approximately $500 annually, non-renewable. The amount of the award varies annually, depending on the amount of funding available. The student may re-apply for the award each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications and additional information are available online from the Southeast Missouri State University (SMSU) website under the 'Endowed & Sponsored Scholarships' heading. A student may apply for this award once he/she has been admitted to SMSU. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit a personal essay and official transcripts. All applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the deadline date.
