Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior or current undergraduate student at time of application.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must reside in the Joint School District #171- Orofino, ID.

Application requirements for the The Debco Construction Undergraduate Scholarship are:

  • Official ACT and SAT tests scores
Additional Information: The Debco Construction Undergraduate Scholarship Program was established in 2009 to build relationships with the local communities by assisting deserving young people in their pursuit of higher education. The Debco Construction Award Committee will select scholarship award recipients on the basis of financial need, character, leadership qualities, scholastic achievement and ability, and other criteria as they deem necessary. For two year scholarships, strong preference will be given to applicants pursuing degrees or certifications in manufacturing or engineering technology, electronics, mechanics, maintenance, forestry, or information technology. Winners will be announced by May 10. Written notification will be sent to all applicants by May 15th.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, renewable. To find out more about the renel terms please visit the Debco Construction website for further details.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

Application forms and additional information can be found on the Debco Construction website. A complete application packet must include the following: a completed application form, an essay on the topics listed on the application, three confidential reports of reference from the principal and or a counselor at the applicant's current school; an official high school or higher institution grade transcript, showing a cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale (the GPA should be circled in red on the transcript); and official ACT and SAT test results (ACT and SAT test scores are only required of applicants not currently enrolled in college). Applications and supporting materials must be received in one complete package by Debco Construction on or before 5:00 P.M., May 1st of the calendar year in which the scholarship is to be awarded. There are no exceptions to this deadline.
