Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies, based on the number of applicants and the amount of funds available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must graduate from an eligible high school in Georgia and plan to attend an eligible private, public, or technical college in Georgia.
  2. Must be a resident of Georgia.
  3. Must have a combined SAT (critical reading and math) score of 1200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher.
  4. Must be a Valedictorian or the Salutatorian, or have a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  7. Must be a graduating high school senior or older.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to Georgia high school students who are planning to attend an eligible public, private, or technical college in Georgia. The student must graduate high school as a Valedictorian or Salutatorian: OR, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.7 and have a SAT score of 1200 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher.

Additional Information: The Zell Miller Scholarship Program is a merit-based scholarship program with specific academic and grade point average eligibility requirements. The purpose of the Zell Miller Scholarship Program is to encourage the academic achievement of Georgia’s high school students and Georgians seeking Degrees from postsecondary institutions located in Georgia. Award Amount: The Zell Miller Scholarship covers the tuition cost at eligible public colleges or universities within the University System of Georgia or Technical College System of Georgia. Students attending eligible private colleges or universities receive the following: Full-time students, $2,000 per semester or $1,333 per quarter; and Half-time students,$1,000 per semester or $666 per quarter. Recipients are eligible to continue receiving awards until he/she has attempted 127 semester (190 quarter) hours of college degree credit or until the completion of a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first. Recipients must maintain a grade point average of 3.30 or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $30,000.
