Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are planning to attend Marist College. Applicants must demonstrate superior academic achievement in the high school and/or college courses they have completed.

Additional Information: Academic-based merit scholarships are available to students who have demonstrated superior academic performance during their entire scholastic career. There are no set of “numbers” (GPA, class rank) that guarantee a scholarship or scholarship amount. Students who have taken a rigorous program of study during their high school career including their senior year – will be considered for these awards. The scholarship committee recalculates the student’s GPA using the core subject areas which include English, Math, History/Social Studies, Science and Foreign Language. All scholarships are renewable for four years provided students meet the necessary GPA requirements.

Award Amount: $10,000 to $25,000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.

Students apply for this award by applying for admission to Marist College (MC). Admissions information is available by clicking on the 'Admission' tab, then the 'Freshman Students' link. The student may apply for admission via either the MC application or the Common Application. Both applications have online and print versions. The student need only choose one method of application. To be considered for this scholarship, the student must be sure to check the appropriate box on the admissions application. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit the following: a $50 non-refundable application fee; a completed 'Counselor Recommendation and Transcript Request Form' (available on the MC website); official copies of secondary school transcripts; official SAT or ACT results; and a personal essay. The student must apply for admission by one of the following deadlines: Nov. 1 for Early Decision; Nov. 15 for Early Action; or Feb. 1 for Regular Decision.
