Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. This year, approximately 64 scholarships will be awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a certificate holder, or the child or grandchild of a certificate holder in Assured Life Association of Greenwood Village, Colorado.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must enroll for 12 credit hours or more per semester.
  5. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

Additional Information: Assured Life Association is dedicated to family financial services and recognizes that in today's world, a key money matter for families is the cost of higher education. Whether it is sending a child to college or furthering an adult's education, Assured Life Association can help.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,500 annually, non-renewable. Recipients may reapply each year. Funds will be distributed by Sept. 15, upon receipt of evidence of attendance or acceptance of admission for the upcoming fall semester at an accredited junior college or university. This may include copies of: official class schedule, letter of acceptance from the admissions office, or receipt for deposit/payment of tuition. Assured Life Association cannot accept class schedules printed from a school website unless they clearly include the year and student's name printed from the website page.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Information about this award can be found on the Assured Life Association fraternal website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit the following: the Assured Life Association certificate number and the name of the certificate holder under whose eligibility he/she is applying; a recent, wallet-sized photograph of himself/herself suitable for publication (photo may be emailed instead); his/her most recent official transcript, including the most recent semester or quarter; a list of extracurricular activities, including volunteering, community service, honors or awards previously earned, and ultimate education and occupational goals (a bonus-point system will reward participation in local camp/lodge activities as well as volunteering and community service); and an essay of between 250 to 500 words on the topic listed within the application. Applications should be submitted online by the deadline.
