Number of Awards & Eligibility: A limited number offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must attend Bucknell University.
  3. Must be a high school senior or transfer student at the time of application.
  4. Must be majoring in or planning to major in mathematics.
  5. Must demonstrate superior academic performance.
  6. Must plan to attend a college or university in Pennsylvania.

Application requirements for the Bucknell University Mathematics Scholarship are:

  • CSS Profile by 1/15/2020
  • FAFSA by 01/15/2020

Award Amount: $10,000 annually.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $50,000.

Students applying to Bucknell University must complete a College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile at www.collegeboard.com using Bucknell's CSS code of 2050. CSS Profiles must be complete by November 15 for early decision consideration, or January 15 for regular decision. Upon application and enrollment in the university, students must complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by May 1. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. By May 10, students must complete and submit the following documentation: signed copy of all pages and schedules of parents' prior year federal income tax return; Copies of all parents' W-2 and 1099 forms; Signed copy of all pages and schedules of student's most recent federal income tax return; Entrance Loan Counseling for the Federal Direct Loan; and the Master Promissory Note (MPN) for the Federal Direct Loan program. Students who complete the financial aid and admissions process by the listed deadline dates will be considered for a variety of financial assistance programs and scholarships. Final applications for the math scholarship are due Feb. 9.
