Description: The Cancer for College General Scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors and undergraduate students who have been diagnosed with cancer. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement as well as unmet financial need.

Application requirements for the Cancer for College General Scholarship are:

  • Confirmation of cancer diagnosis
Additional Information: Founded in 1993, Cancer for College seeks to provide hope and material assistance to those students who have been diagnosed with cancer. Award selection will be based on all submitted documentation, with extra emphasis placed on academic achievement and unmet financial need. Failure to remain enrolled or transfering from a four-year college or university to a two-year community college may result in the suspension of funding. Students may suspend their scholarship for up to one year for verified medical reasons.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 annually. The typical award amount is $5,000 but may be reduced if the student has a lower amount of unmet financial need.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $25,000.
