Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be majoring in safety engineering or occupational safety.
  5. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are pursuing a major in occupational safety and safety engineering. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: This ASSE Foundation scholarship require an ASSE student membership. To apply for membership, contact ASSE's customer service department. The ASSE Foundation Scholarship Award and Selection Committee will review all applications. Winners' names will be posted on the foundation's website on or around April 1.

Award Amount: $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.

Applications are available on the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) website. To find information about this award, the applicant should click on the 'ASSE Foundation' link. In addition to a completed online application, the applicant must also submit the following: an official transcript verifying good academic standing, completion of 60 semester hours or more, and his/her overall grade point average; responses to the short answer questions listed on the application; and a reference letter from a safety faculty member verifying the applicant's official enrollment in occupational safety and health or a closely related field, and his/her enrollment of 12 credit hours or more per semester. If the applicant has any questions regarding the application process, he/she should send an email to the email address provided (the applicant should not call ASSE). Applications must be completed online by 11:59 pm on the deadline date.
