Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to ten awards offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must enroll full time at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.
  3. Must be an employee, immediate family member of an employee, or an immediate family member of a NRCA-contractor member who has a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
  4. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Additional Information: Industrial, institutional, and international members as well as relatives of current Alliance board of trustees or officers are not eligible.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, renewable for up to three years upon the maintenance of an annual grade point average of 3.0 grade point average or higher.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $50,000.

Applications and information about this award can be found online at the Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress website using the link provided. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must submit the following: an applicant appraisal, to be completed by a high school or college counselor or adviser, an instructor, or a work supervisor who knows the applicant well; and a current transcript of grades. Online transcripts are acceptable if the applicant's name, school name, grades, credit hours earned for each course (if applicable), and the term in which each course was taken are printed. Students currently or previously enrolled in college or vocational-technical school must include all college or vo-tech transcripts of grades. High school seniors and students who have completed less than one full quarter or semester of postsecondary education must include a high school transcript of grades. All application materials must be postmarked by the deadline.
