Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies anually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be in the second year of his/her two-year degree, in the third or fourth years of a four-year degree or a graduate school candidate.
  4. Must be the spouse, child, stepchild or grandchild of an employee of an InfoComm member organization or an employee of an InfoComm member organization in good standing at the time of application.
  5. Must be majoring in an audiovisual-related field, such as audio, video, audiovisual, electronics, telecommunications, technical theater, data networking, software development, information technology (IT) or another major related to a career in the audiovisual industry. Please note that students in other majors may be considered provided they can demonstrate a relationship to career goals in the audiovisual industry. For example, journalism may be an appropriate field of study for a student interested in a career in AV sales.
  6. Must enroll at an accredited postsecondary institution full time or part time (nine credit hours or more).
  7. Must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. students who are the spouse, child, stepchild or grandchild of an employee of an InfoComm member organization or an employee of an InfoComm member organization are eligible for this award. Students must be current second, third or fourth year students with a grade point average of 2.75 or higher in an audiovisual related program of study.

Additional Information: The purpose of the scholarship is for dependents of employees or employees of member organizations to pursue a technical degree to be applied to an audiovisual career or to pursue an advanced degree to be applied to an audiovisual career.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable. The award is typically divided into two payments of $2,500 for each semester. Checks will be mailed for the first semester in August. Second semester funds will be mailed upon receiving an updated verification form in January. The award may be used only for the payment of tuition. The recipient will also receive complimentary InfoComm student membership for one school year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available online from the InfoComm International website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit two typed essays (double-spaced), two letters of recommendation, and official transcripts. Applications and supporting materials must be mailed or faxed (ATTN: Josh Hardwick) and received by the deadline.
