Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Any student meeting the criteria will receive this award.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must plan to attend Olivet College in Michigan.
  4. Must have at least one sibling who is also attending Olivet College.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award.

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors or older who will be attending Olivet College in Michigan with a sibling. Both siblings must attend full time.

Application requirements for the Olivet College Sibling Scholarship are:

  • Official Transcript
  • Admissions
  • Fee
  • Standardized test scores
Additional Information: Olivet College awards scholarships in three categories: Oaks Scholarships - Type I, based on academic performance; Hosford Grants - Type II, based on financial need; and Shipherd Scholarships - Type III, based on service activities, various affiliations and campus involvement. The Sibling Scholarship is a Type III award. Students cannot receive more than one Type III Scholarship. Students can receive a combination of Type I, Type II and Type III scholarships.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, renwable for up to three additional years. Each sibling will receive this amount.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

To apply, students must apply for admission to the Olivet College (OC). No separate scholarship application is required. Interested students must contact Olivet College Admissions by phone, e-mail, mail, or web site to request an application packet, or apply on line from the college website. There is a processing fee for paper applications. Students must also submit official high school and/or college transcripts and ACT or SAT test scores. Applications for admission to Olivet College are accepted throughout the year. Students are encouraged to apply early in fall of his/her senior year of high school.
