Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  4. Must be a high school senior who will earn a diploma or GED by the start of the upcoming school year.
  5. Must enroll full time in an undergraduate degree program.
  6. Must attend an accredited postsecondary institution located within Vermont that is approved for federal Title IV funding.
  7. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to Vermont high school seniors who plan to enroll in an undergraduate degree program on a full-time basis at a Vermont college/university. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and must demonstrate financial need and school/community involvement.

Additional Information: This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to Vermont students who wish to pursue college degrees. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and school/community involvement. Selection is based on academic achievement, application documents, and financial need.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, may be renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications are available from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) website. Applications may be completed either online or in paper form beginning on November 1. Please note: The student is only required to submit one application for all scholarships for which he/she wishes to apply. In addition, if a particular document is required for more than one scholarship, the student need only submit one copy of that document. To apply, the student must complete and submit the VSAC Unified Scholarship Application and submit the following materials: a letter of recommendation; an essay; and official transcripts. NOTE: Required additional materials MUST conform to the detailed instructions in the VSAC Scholarships Booklet. The student is highly encouraged to review the booklet thoroughly when assembling materials. Electronic applications and any digital versions of supplemental materials must be submitted by midnight on the deadline date. Paper applications or any supplemental materials in paper form must be postmarked by the deadline date.
