Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants and the amount of funding available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must enroll as a full-time student.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
  4. Must have completed 28 or more academic college credits at time of application.
  5. Must be planning to transfer to Stevenson University in Maryland.

Description: U.S. students who have earned 28 or more college credit hours and plan to transfer to Stevenson University in Maryland are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.

Additional Information: Transfer students who have demonstrated significant academic achievement may be awarded the Stevenson University Transfer Scholarship.

Award Amount: The amount of the award depends on the applicant's grade point average and number of college credit hours already earned. Awards range from $11,000 to $19,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years. A chart of award amounts is available on the SU website.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $45,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the Stevenson University (SU) website. No separate scholarship application is required. Students are considered for this scholarship upon admission. In addition to a completed application for admission, the student must submit the following: a $40 non-refundable application fee if applying via the paper application; an official transcript from each college attended (final transcripts of any in-progress coursework are also required); and an official high school transcript or GED if he/she has completed fewer than 30 credit hours of college coursework at time of application. The following items may be submitted with the application but are not required: standardized test scores; interview; resume; letters of recommendation; and an essay discussing academic history and career goals. The application for admission and all supporting materials should be submitted by the priority deadline dates of May 1 for fall admission and Nov. 1 for spring admission. Applications submitted after these dates will be considered for scholarship funding on a funds-available basis only.
