Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have successfully completed at least one course in his/her program and plan to continue the program.
  3. Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student.
  4. Must be attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Distance Education Center.
  5. Must be enrolled in one of the following eligible programs: business administration (undergraduate); criminal justice (undergraduate and graduate); organizational change leadership (graduate); integrated supply chain management (graduate); engineering (graduate); project management (graduate).
  6. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled and have completed at least one course in any University of Wisconsin-Platteville distance education program. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: This scholarship has been established by Dawn Drake, Executive Director of Alternative Delivery Systems at UW?Platteville. This scholarship is in recognition of the important role that distance education has played in Dawn's life, both personally and professionally. It is also a recognition of the many sacrifices that distance learners make to successfully juggle education, career, and family. Recipients will be notified by mail once a decision has been made. Scholarship winners will be recognized at the graduation banquet.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications are available on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Distance Education website. In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following materials: a one-page essay discussing why he/she believes he/she is deserving of the scholarship and why he/she is pursuing distance education; and a resume. Applications may be mailed to Tara Krueger, Scholarship Chair, at the address provided or emailed to disted@uwplatt.edu. Applications must be postmarked or emailed by the deadline date.
